Legacy & Evolution
Established in 1979 following the Kagera War, the CSC was initially situated at Fort Ikoma in the Serengeti. In 1989, the college shifted to Monduli, co-located with the Tanzania Military Academy (TMA). Since 2015, the college has occupied its permanent home in Duluthi, Arusha.
For over a quarter of a century, CSC has served as a hub of military knowledge, training senior officers (Major and above) from the TPDF, EAC, ECOWAS, SADC, and other friendly nations to assume high-level command and staff responsibilities.
🎓 Academic Accreditation
- NACTVET Accredited: Independent award of Ordinary Diploma & MA in Defence and Security Studies (Since July 2020).
- IAA Collaboration: Strategic Studies programmes (Since 2013/14).
🛡️ Tri-Service Modernization
Since 2018, the College has transitioned from an Army-centric to a Tri-Service centric curriculum. This modernization ensures that the Army, Navy, and Air Force are fully integrated into the professional ethics and military knowledge imparted to our officers.
